Greetings from Stanford University and UC Berkeley! It’s been a couple of weeks since we described the benefits of attending the Bay Area Graduate Pathways to STEM (GPS) event. We wanted to follow up on that invitation and would like request your assistance in re-sending this info to help us reach underserved and underrepresented STEM undergraduates and prospective graduate applicants, especially engineering and science students, for our Fall 2018 graduate school event.
Simply put, details about the GPS event are as follows: it is a FREE 1-day symposium held at Stanford University on Saturday, October 13, 2018 where students attend informative workshops addressing the benefits of pursuing an advanced degree (both MS and PhD) and receive targeted advice for preparing for graduate school and the application process. GPS is co-hosted by UC Berkeley’s College of Engineering and Stanford University’s School of Engineering, and is targeted to diversity as conceived broadly by both institutions, with eligibility information on the application website. Please also find a flyer attached for more info and last year’s program for student reference.
We would greatly appreciate you helping us by sharing this opportunity with the UCSC STEM community. Thanks for your prompt attention to this matter.
