ESLP Facilitator Program

Want to design your own section? Want to get credit for pursuing your passion? Want to be part of a peer-to-peer education model that focuses on sustainability and social justice? Education for Sustainable Living Program (ESLP) is accepting applications for facilitators!

Facilitators go through a 5 unit training class in the winter quarter in which they design and plan their syllabus, lesson plans, and logistics of their classes. Come Spring, the facilitators lead students enrolled in these 2 or 5 unit classes in an engaging classroom setting that will focus on any number of environmental and social justice concerns that we face today.  All sustainability topics are welcome, just refer to the Blueprint for Sustainable Campus. It is up to you and your passions to decide which topic to cover and design your own Action Research Team (ART)! Don't pass up this awesome opportunity to pursue your passion, spread awareness about your cause, embody the role of a  leader/mentor, take action, create a community, and have fun! We are open to all majors!

We are having an info session with some of our past facilitators to give more insight into what this opportunity is like! We will have snacks, be answering your questions, and can help you out with your application as well. This will be happening on Monday, November 5th, from 2:30-3: 30 pm in the Cowell Conference Room 231.

We encourage you to turn in your application ASAP, the deadline is only a couple weeks away!

The final deadline for applications is November 16th before 11:59 PM.

You can find the application here.

Check out eslp-enviroslug.org to learn more about ESLP, check out the ARTs that students facilitated last Spring, download the application, and then email the completed form to eslp@ucsc.edu. Feel free to email us with any questions!
