Mary Katherine Long Prize

Image of Mary Katherine LongThis annual prize honors the memory and the legacy of its namesake–Mary Katherine Long. Her family and friends joined together to create the Mary Katherine Long Endowed Prize to commemorate her commitment to education. Mary Katherine Long felt very strongly about the education of girls, especially those who were raised or have lived under difficult circumstances, or who lacked educational opportunities. She was also interested in those who come to get their education later in life.   

This $1250 award is given to an undergraduate or graduate student who is committed to growing educational opportunities in the STEM fields for women and others who have overcome great obstacles to achieve their dream of higher education. 

Eligibility: Any enrolled student of Baskin School of Enginneering graduate or undergraduate programs is eligible to apply.
