With Commencement 2021 being held virtually, we want to see how our graduates are celebrating in place! Send us your graduation photos to be entered into a Baskin Engineering gift card giveaway. Photos submitted can take many forms. Feel free to share a photo of you and your family members and/or a beloved pet, you in your cap and gown, an image of your decorated cap, or a photo of your day-of celebrations.
We have FOUR $50 VISA gift cards to award in the following categories:
1) Most creative cap / regalia photo
2) Best family / celebration photo
3&4) Two random drawings from all eligible participants
You do not need to have official UCSC regalia to enter, but photos must be visibly commencement-related to be entered for a prize (e.g., family holding signs of congratulations, etc. Get creative!).

June 17 Wiki-a-thon Supporting BIPOC Scientists
Join us for an afternoon of creating and editing pages for BIPOC Scientists and Technologists! Wikipedia overwhelmingly recognizes the achievements of white people. This wiki-a-thon works to reverse this trend, highlighting the often overlooked accomplishments of BIPOC leaders in science and technology, and ensuring that the new generation can see role models who look like them. Read more about our inspiration here.
When: Thursday, June 17th from 1-5pm.
Where: Zoom (link will be mailed out closer to the date)
