CURENT’s REU program is an eight-week program designed to give sophomores, juniors and seniors from accredited U.S. colleges or universities the opportunity to perform summer research in the fields of electrical engineering and computer science. Summer REU students will work on projects that are tied to CURENT research including power systems and power electronics as they relate to the national power grid.
Research areas include:
- Power systems
- Machine learning
- Cyber security
- Electric vehicles
- Fault resiliency
Students in the REU program will received a stipend for $4,160 for the summer. This is an entirely virtual program. CURENT’s REU program runs from June 1-July 23, 2021. Deadline for applications is March 19, 2021. More information is available at our website: http://curent.utk.
