Dear BSOE Students:
EE 173/L, High Speed Digital Design, is offered this Fall 2018 and has space available!
If you are an Electrical Engineering student, beginning this year EE 173/L will satisfy a Design Elective requirement for the EE major.
Bioengineering students planning to take the EE senior design sequence (EE 129A-C) can use EE 173/L to satisfy as one of the prerequisites* to EE senior design in place of CE 121/L, 118/L or EE 157/L. EE 173/L will also satisfy an Electronics Elective requirement for Bioengineering students pursuing the Bioelectronics or Assistive Tech Motor concentrations. (Please note that students pursuing the Assistive Tech Motor concentration will still need to take CE 118/L as one of their required courses)
The prerequisites for EE 173/L are EE 101/L and EE 174. Students who haven't completed the EE 174 prerequisite will be allowed in the course, but will be expected to work through the EE 174 tutorials, Labs 1-3, which can be found on the EE 174 website here.
If you are interested in taking this class this fall and have not completed the EE 174 prerequisite, please contact the instructor, Stephen Petersen at firstname.lastname@example.org for a permission number to enroll.
* Prerequisites to EE 129A include EE 171/L, CE 100 and one of the following: EE 157/L, CMPE 121/L, or CMPE 118/L or instructor permission
